VAV Diffusers - Acutherm Therma-Fuser

The pioneering technology of Therma-Fuser™ air grilles provides individual comfort in both heating and cooling applications. Therma-Fusers™ are ceiling air diffusers operating as an integrated Variable Air Volume (VAV), zone of temperature control providing superior air distribution and maximising energy savings without compromising human comfort.

Each Therma-Fuser™ air diffuser is an independent zone of VAV control including thermostat, modulating damper and diffuser in a single package. Unlike conventional building controls, Therma-Fuser™ air diffusers have no complicated electronics or pneumatics, and as a result require no maintenance.

Therma-Fuser™ VAV (Variable Air Volume) diffusion dampers open and close to regulate air flow into the room in response to room temperature. The dampers are mechanically actuated by thermal element thermostats.

Each thermal element thermostat is a small brass cylinder containing petroleum-based wax. The wax expands when heated, driving a piston out. A spring retracts the piston when the wax cools and retracts. The movement of the piston either opens or closes the air dampers in a proportional manner.

Average room temperature is monitored by inducing a sample of air from the center of the room across the thermal element thermostats.

Because this air sample is drawn directly from the air circulation pattern in the room, just before it mixes with air flowing into the room, it better represents average room temperature than air at a wall thermostat.

With Therma-Fuser™ air grilles, room temperature throughout the room can be held within 1° C of the temperature selected. Temperature of the room is selected between 21° and 26° C by adjusting the thermal element thermostat.

Fabric Duct - Textile Air Socks | DuctSox

DuctSox Fabric Duct Systems are an attractive and cost effective alternative to conventional metal ductwork. They are constructed of fabric and shaped as cylindrical tubes, similar to spiral metal ductwork. DuctSox are used to distribute and diffuse heated, cooled, refrigerated and make-up air. Our fabric duct systems are a cost effective, aesthetically attractive alternative to metal ductwork.

In open ceiling architecture, traditional metal duct systems discharge air through side mounted metal diffusers usually spaced 3 to 4.5m apart. The air is directed to specific zones resulting in less efficient mixing of air in the occupied space and often causing drafting and hot or cold spots.  DuctSox strives to be the leader in the industry through a commitment to quality, service, and innovation.

DuctSox products are used to distribute and disperse air in both Open and Finished Ceiling Architecture.

Different than conventional metal ductwork, DuctSox products are engineered and manufactured for each project. Designs can be simple, straight systems or very intricate layouts which incorporate fittings such as radius elbows, Ts, and transitions. Sections are zippered together to form extended lengths with diameters from 200mm – 1,525mm.  Whether industrial, retail, education, commercial, government, warehousing, laboratory, food processing, temporary or permanent, DuctSox offers a proven choice.

SkeleCore FTS (Fabric Tensioning System) stands alone as the only textile ducting/diffuser system that provides cylindrical tensioning to keep the fabric round and taut at all times. SkeleCore FTS maintains the same appearance with or without any air pressure in the duct.  SkeleCore FTS is ideal when higher aesthetic value is desired, when cycling is frequent, or when systems are designed with variable air volume. SkeleCore FTS eliminates disruptive tendencies such as motion and noise upon AHU start-up, especially in hard start applications.

Features, Advantages, and Benefits:
• Keeps textile duct round and taut at all times
• Eliminates fabric sagging, drooping, and wrinkles
• Prevents inflation pop at start-up

DuctSox Corporation, headquartered in Peosta, Iowa, is a manufacturer of commercial and industrial fabric air dispersion products for open ceiling architecture, critical environments, and under floor applications.  Our fabric systems are a cost effective, aesthetically attractive alternative to metal ductwork and diffusers. They are easy to install, have low material waste on the jobsite, and offer many other Green advantages.

• Optimum silent operation
• Differential pressure range:
? 50 to 250 Pa for standard version

Aldes Constant Airflow Regulators range to balance airflows in the ventilation or air conditioning ductworks.

• One airflow (factory set airflow)
• Best airflow regulation due to silicone membrane
• Optimum silent operation
• Differential pressure range:
? 50 to 250 Pa for standard version
? 150 to 600 Pa for high pressure version

The constant airflow regulator balances the airflow in the air conditioning ductworks. It easily fits into a part of the circular ductwork to maintain constant and reliable airflow within a wide range of differential pressure.

Its flexible bulbs inflates and deflates according to the pressure difference between upstream and downstream of the module, thus modifying the free area of the module. This principle guarantees constant airflow regardless of the aeraulic variations in the ductwork.
